Hope Elliott was fiercely passionate about community service and nation building as evidenced by her involvement with several associations including the Kiwanis Club of New Kingston, the National Dance Theatre Compnay and The Queen's School Alumini Association.

Kiwanis Club of New Kingston

Hope was a member of the organization and held several positions including.  Her signature project saw her raising funds to supply over 100 wheelchairs to needy receipeints. 

 

The Kiwanis Club of New Kingston (KCNK) was organized on September 6, 1989 and chartered on November 14, 1989, under the principles of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Since its inception, the Kiwanis Club of New Kingston has maintained a rich and distinguished record of outstanding leadership, achievement and service to the nation.

National Dance Theatre Company

Hope was an avid supported of the National Dancer Theatre Company and encouraged others, including her niece to develop a passion of the art form and the organization.

The National Dance Theatre Company is a non-profit organization of dancers, singers, musicians, technicians and administrators of diverse professional backgrounds. Formed in 1962 by Rex Nettleford and Eddy Thomas, the company’s extensive repertoire reflects a long tradition of dance and music describing Jamaica’s ancestral underpinnings and the establishment of dance as an art form rooted in contemporary cultural realities of Jamaica and the Caribbean. The company members are guided by the belief that dance, music and song will help to promote cultural awareness while fostering nation building through commitment, dedication, discipline and sustained application.

The Queen's School

Hope was a student in the original cohort of students when The Queen's School was founded in 1953.

The Queen's School, Jamaica is an all-girl High School located in Kingston, Jamaica. Academically, it is one of the top high schools in Jamaica. It is an Anglican school and is well known and respected for producing quality students.
